Friday evening.  My forsythia is in perfect bloom right now.  There are flowers popping out in the yard and I have potatoes to plant.  Time passes so very quickly.  Spring break is next week for my students and I.  What has happened to the school year?  It has been another very difficult year in trying to understand the 'how' to teach to reach all my students, to get them excited for learning and doing well. I still have no answers and keep praying.
It has also been a difficult year for relationships.  The people I think will understand, don't.  And the people I anticipated time with, there has been none.  So this winter I have truly been 'alone' with myself.  I don't think this is going to change either.  If it does, I don't see how and only the Lord knows that. 
I have had my interview for graduate school.  I am anxious, yet excited.  It will take me four years and by the end of it I will be an old lady!!  But I will take the plunge if accepted. It will mean the end of my summers for a while as I will have several classes to take each year.  And my home won't be dusted anymore (not that it is now!) But in the finish of it I will be able to hopefully be a better teacher for my students and potentially teach at the college level. 
I will catch up more in this week off... I am hopeful you all are safe, sound and blessed.  It is  Holy Week... Rejoice, for He is Risen!!!!

welllll... extremely busy and crazy with work.  my seniors have all gone crazy in that they stopped working.  which makes me the bad guy in holding them responsible.  tough job.  i am off to bed but will get on later. blessings!!!!!

WOW... I don't know where all of you are, or what your weather was like, but it was crazy here.  Ice everywhere (still).. and so very thick.  And now, today, we are supposed to get 4" of snow... it has already begun.  We had 3 days off of school which has now used all our calamity days.  I worked around the house, sewed some, read some, wrote very little.  Here are some pics not of the storm, but the home.

this winter I am hopeful for learning to hear the voice of my Saviour.  I know others with so much more hardness in their lives, their family, their day to day existence.  But today my Sam preached... and he was very vulnerable and honest about life.  sometimes i don't know if everyone understands what he is talking about.  not that they can't but that they don't have the experiences in the church to understand.  he talked about how important everyone's story is.  that Christ didn't talk to people unless it was in a story (parable) to explain the importance of His message. each of us has our own story to bring light to the world about His story in our life.  that no matter what this earthly life brings to us, Christ is in our story and we are to tell of Him. 
i watched him tell his sermon.... he tried to tell everyone at the beginning after he had prayed that he was fighting a cold, but it was tears he was fighting.  the conviction that Christ gave him to share a part of his story.  because of our choices we are entwined to the earth only because Christ shed His blood for us. and we are entwined to Christ because He rose again and has given us grace and mercy.

I have oftened wondered about the politics of Xanga.... like depending on who you are depends on whether you become the favorite for the day.  I don't care about traffic, I write for me and have shared with others life as I know it. Some have been real and honest, some have not.
But I read one Xangan in particular and it appears the site is being shut down.  I haven't read the 'F' bomb from her ~ unlike other people who frequently use it and Xanga makes them a featured site.  The site isn't heretical in view of religion, sex, or politics.... but maybe it is a little too honest about the politics of life on the internet.  Or in particular Xanga.
I write here... not exactly all of my life or views or feelings.  I share from my perspective.  I am hopeful that each one of us can be civil online as we should be in person.  I find that isn't always true. 

So... how are you all?  we didn't get the snow anticipated, but still had a 2 hr. delay and it is really really cold here. Poor emmie had her first day of student teaching practicum canceled due to the weather.
The whole tragedy in Arizona has me postulating.  It can happen anywhere.  Anytime.
and my students are getting their results from their state test to be a Nurse Aid.  I can only do so much and can't take the test for them.  It is hard.  They will have a 2nd and 3rd opportunity if they need it.
life.  how do you handle the life you have?  how is it that some can have very little happen in their lives and others have soooo much happen?  just wondering.

I normally love snow... but we cannot have a snow day tomorrow or bad weather on Saturday as my senior students are taking a state test on Saturday!!!  and they need to take it then!!  Plus there is a surprise birthday celebration for my friend Kelly..... we spent NYE together... and had a blast!! 
and life is quiet somewhat, except for my head.... will try to sort it out later....

the outside temp is dropping and I am going to crash pretty soon... and i put up the pics of some of the food... my hubby has more he needs to send me so I will post those later!  blessings!
